Now Accepting Submissions! Mighty Shorts FilmSlam Returns December 6

ATLANTA, GA (August 25, 2022) — The Mighty Shorts Comedy Collective is now accepting video submissions for the upcoming FilmSlam. The Mighty Shorts FilmSlam is a showcase of Atlanta’s best comedy shorts and will be held on December 6, 2022 at 8pm at Landmark’s Midtown Arts Cinema.

There will be a panel of judges that will select winners in a variety of categories in effort to recognize the most outstanding work. There will be a prize awarded by the audience as well, so filmmakers are encouraged to invite their friends and fans. Anyone with a short form comedic video is invited to submit. All submissions are due by Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:59PM ET.

The Mighty Shorts FilmSlam will be en evening to celebrate the Atlanta comedy community and the amazing work that is constantly being created right here.

Submission deadline: Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 11:59PM
* We will not accept late submissions. No exceptions.

Content parameters:

  • Must be comedy

  • Must be shorter than 10 mins; however, we strongly favor films that are 5 minutes or shorter in the final selections.

  • We will strongly favor films that were created since July and those that are not already available online.

  • Files should be less than 5 GB

  • Mighty Shorts management reserves the right to make the final decision on films that will be featured in the FilmSlam.

  • Cost: It’s FREE to submit!

  • Send a download link to submissions@mightyshorts.com

  • Please include the film title and the names and roles of those you wish to be credited for the film as well as preferred contact information.

Event details:

  • When: December 6, 2022 @ 8pm - 10pm

  • Where: Landmark’s Midtown Arts Cinema: 931 Monroe Dr NE, Atlanta, GA 30308

  • What: We’ll show our selection of video shorts, the panel of judges will award prizes, and we'll also have an audience award

  • Tickets: $10 online; $13 on the door.
